NRETA rebate survey
In an effort to continually improve the NT Waterwise Central Australia Rebate Scheme, the NRETA Water Conservation Officer is seeking input from Alice Springs community members. Click here to download a short survey for COOLmob members to complete and return, focusing on the Rebate Scheme. Your input is valuable even if you have never heard of the Rebate Scheme.
The deadline for returning the survey is April 20.
Strategic planning meeting
The participants of the strategic planning meeting addressed the question, " What is the purpose of this project?" The answer was:

- To reduce greenhouse gas emissions from households in Alice Springs and Tennant Creek

- Supporting and educating the community on sustainability issues

Free to a good home: Shredded paper
Shredded paper is available from the Arid Lands Environment Centre. You can use it to add carbon to your compost, or as mulch, or for pet cages. Come up and grab a bag! Or five!
Casual employee wanted for energy audit follow up surveys:
Casual work is available between now and the end of June. The work involves ringing householders who have had an energy audit and surveying them, then summarizing that data. The work can be done either from home or from the Arid Lands Environment Centre. If you are interested, please email Kat on dka.coolmob@coolmob.org with your contact details and details of your relevant experience by April 21st.

Members are invited to the Alice Springs Solar City Smart Living Centre (Todd St, across from the town council) on Thursday, March 13th from 6pm to 7pm. Meet the water auditor team over nibbles and hear an update on the Alice Springs Water Advisory Committee. Free home water audits for the first 10 households to sign up on the night!

Energy audits
Energy audits are no longer available from DKA COOLmob in Alice Springs. However, they are available in Tennant Creek for a limited time. Tennant Creek residents can book an energy or water audit on for the following dates:
- APRIL: Friday, April 11th 2008 or Saturday, April 12th 2008;
- MAY: Friday, May 16th 2008 or Saturday, May 17th 2008; or
- JUNE: (Energy audits only) Saturday, June 7th 2008
